I was born in a cabin atop an active volcano in Northern California. My early years were spent moving between communes, desert teepees, and hillside huts without electricity. At times, food was scarce, and when it wasn’t, I savored every bite with reverence. This unconventional upbringing fostered in me a deep fascination with traditions and comfort foods of all kinds. My greatest joy comes from creating meals and spaces that exude warmth and wrap guests in welcome. Hospitality is not just an industry to me; it’s my mission. I hunger to understand the nuances behind what we fill our cups, plates, and bellies with and how our kitchens tie to community and history. My curiosity and appetite for learning are insatiable.
